Automotive Mechanic Job Description:
We seek an experienced, responsible, highly motivated, skilled, versatile Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team at RAW CUSTOMS. In this position, you will be responsible for the construction, assembly, maintenance, and repair. You will ensure functionality and reliability, service engines, mechanical systems, transmissions, brakes, ignition systems, and minor body repairs. An excellent mechanic will have a solid knowledge of essential mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment and follow all safety precautions.
Automotive Mechanic Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general repair and maintenance services on cars, trucks, and ATVs.
- Run diagnostic tests to determine what is wrong.
- Explain diagnostic test results to customers.
- Check ignition points on an engine.
- Perform fluid change tasks.
- Replace spark plugs.
- Inspect and replace brakes, fuel lines, and tires.
- Overhaul engines or electrical systems
- Making significant repairs due to an accident or neglect.
 Automotive Mechanic Job Requirements:
- Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Air ride and Lift experience – not negotiable.
- Gas and Diesel experience is ideal.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Responsible self-starter.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
